Sourcing Hub to Shelf-Ready Solutions — Building a Non-Food Retail Concept Tailored To Deliver.
Business Impact | By combining Sellers Union’s world-class sourcing and sample capabilities with NL-Platform’s retail blueprint and training, this showroom elevates the buying experience, enabling retail clients to visualise complete, ready-to-execute non-food solutions that deliver commercial results in real store environments.
At NL-Platform, we’re proud to spotlight our strategic partnership with Sellers Union Group, one of China’s leading sourcing and merchandising powerhouses.
Operating out of Ningbo, Sellers Union runs two expansive buildings with 41 sample rooms, covering 25,000 sq. metres of curated non-food assortments for global retail buyers. Backed by dedicated retailer teams, the group integrates sourcing, supply chain market research, design, and total merchandising — all underpinned by stringent NQA and QC standards to ensure quality and compliance at scale.
With this robust infrastructure in place, Sellers Union engaged NL-Platform to transform their merchandising capabilities into a fully fledged non-food retail showroom concept — bridging the gap between global sourcing and in-store execution.
Our Contribution:
Leveraging our international expertise in category management, private label development, and procurement, NL-Platform co-developed a turnkey retail store-like showroom that mirrors the real-world dynamics of a best-in-class non-food retail environment. This includes:
Key Value Items (KVIs): Strategically selected high-volume lines to drive traffic and margin.
Seasonal & Relevant Moments: A robust calendar of seasonal activations to capitalise on shopper behaviour and peak trading periods.
Regular Ranges: Core assortment built for consistent shelf presence and repeat sales.
‘Sensations’: High-impact newness and trend-led products designed to surprise and delight — keeping the offer fresh and differentiated.
Beyond the concept development, NL-Platform provided end-to-end retail consultancy, practical matchmaking between suppliers and new retail customers, and sales training to equip Sellers Union’s teams with the know-how to convert sourcing power into profitable retail partnerships.
